Abstract Introduction Insomnia identity is defined as the “conviction that one has insomnia” or self-identifies an “insomniac.” The present study sought to evaluate whether insomnia chronicity and past treatment predicts someone identifies “insomniac” in a large sample of adult participants with sleep complaints. Methods This utilized cross-sectional group design archival/community dataset was collected Philadelphia area. data were drawn from 2,950 adults between 18 90 years age who specifically reported problems total time (TST).
